The moment that you enter its portico, most will feel the peacefulness and hope that only very old churches share. Could it be the embodiment of 174 years of history? Or is it simply the spirit of the many congregations that worshipped within its walls? Originally built during the American Civil War this beautiful Catholic church (1923) needs someone to ensure that it has continued purpose. The common area boasts 39+ foot ceilings and the area of the altar is over 23+ feet. The basement is unfinished despite being full height. The structure does need work here and there but the building is a beauty to behold.
